Bitch

Ok I am totally freaking out!!!!!

I think I am turning into a typical Kuwaiti!!!!!!!! I have been in this country way too long!!!!!!!!

Let me explain.

I recently changed jobs, and the people that I am working with now are a mixture of Kuwaitis and foreigners. Now a couple of a days ago one of my female foreign co-worker referred to someone that she used to work with previously and that I happen to know as a “Bitch”. I didn’t blink an eye, my reaction was as the Kuwaitis would say “7ada 3adi”, I even agreed with her lol.

Now a couple of years back when I was working at my old job I was put in the same situation. My supervisor who also happened to be female yet Kuwaiti referred to another co-worker as a “Bitch”. Yet at that time if I recall correctly, my eyes bulged out and I was speechless! And I thought to myself “shino hathi no class what so ever”. (If some of you are wondering yes the lady she was referring to was a bitch)

These two situations made me think!! Why did I accept that foul language from the foreigner but not the Kuwaiti. Of course the only answer I came up with was “illusion you are turning into a typical Kuwaiti!!!!!!” Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. This is not good!
